STORY
Born and raised in South Dakota, Gina Garrity graduated from South Dakota State University before beginning a career in advertising, media planning, and buying. While working in Minneapolis, she met her husband, Tom Garrity. Shortly after they were married, Tom returned to working in hockey. Together, they raised four children, each of whom grew up immersed in watching and playing sports.
Throughout their upbringing, Gina was a constant presence at games and practices, often volunteering with her children’s teams. It was ultimately hockey that became a cornerstone of the Garrity household, shaping both family life and community involvement.

A brief move to Scottsdale, Arizona, introduced Gina to Brian Cain, a leading mental performance coach. Inspired by his work, she discovered her own calling in the field. She immersed herself in learning, reading, training, and taking courses, and in August 2025, earned her certification as a Mental Performance Coach. Today, Gina is dedicated to helping young hockey players unlock their potential, developing not only as athletes but also as confident, resilient individuals on and off the ice.
